Ann MacNeill is an award winning photographer by the Professional
Photographers of Canada with a specialty in Equine Photography.
Strong interest in photojournalism leads to eclectic shoots ranging
from weddings to wildlife.
Internationally, Ann’s images are published in books, magazines,
and calendars. She is an award winning photographer for the
Equine Photographers network, as well as for the Department
of National Defence. Judges for the Professional Photographers
of Canada, awarded Ann with "Best Press Photo " and nominated
her for "Commercial Photographer of the Year. " Also in the Image
competition Ann received an “Award of Excellence and three
“Awards of Merit”.
Since acquiring her degree in Veterinary Science Technology
( State University of New York), Ann has enjoyed working, and
living in various parts of North America. Being a member of the
Canadian Armed Forces, a musician ( saxophone), and having
served the Lieutenant Governor of Prince Edward Island ,
Gilbert and Wilma Clements, has provided years of interesting
experiences and international travel.
Now that her four children have grown, Ann has chosen the
camera to express her long ignored artistic side, and is very
thankful for the support of her husband Don who is very
involved in the harness racing industry, enabling them to
enjoy the equine aspect of the business together.
Starting this venture "later in life", and being self taught,
Ann is thankful for the guidance of a few very accomplished
photographers, and her primary goal is to capture images
that will be enjoyed by many for years to come.
